Your journey on America’s oldest short-line railroad begins on the platform of the historic East Strasburg Station – where you’ll quickly realize the Strasburg Rail Road is more than just a train ride. With every turn – you step back in time – to the days when life was simpler and trains were the primary mode of transportation.

In step with the conductor’s call, you take your seat and your 45-minute journey through the heart of Amish Country is about to begin. As the vintage steam train chugs down the tracks past real working farms, a voice from above shares the history of the railroad and of the Amish who call this land home.

Back at the station, take a ride aboard a miniature steam train, test your power on the pump-car and let your little-one try their hand at the Cranky Cars. Take a tour of the shop or take a seat while you enjoy a treat. The options are endless, but pace yourself – because the fun will continue until you run out of steam.
