New Creations Studio Inc. was first named Shear Changes Hair Design (est. 2004). At the time, owner Lisa was working for Donna Sullivan at Studio 72 Hair Design. In May of 2006, Lisa’s daughter Nicole was preparing to graduate and to her mom’s delight she decided that she had an interest in cosmetology.

Nicole enrolled at Brownstown Vo-Tech in the adult program, graduated in May of 2007 and joined the team. Our previous salon had limited space, which restricted the amount of services we could offer. So, the search began for a new location. Shortly after we started to look, we learned about the availability of a beautiful historic building right across the street from our previous location in Strasburg. In October of 2007, we took possession of 11 South Decatur Street. Construction took three months, and on January 3, 2008, New Creations was born!

The inspiration for the name came when Lisa found an old t-shirt she’d purchased. The logo on the t-shirt featured the words “New Creations” and a butterfly. This inspired her to name the salon New Creations Studio Inc. Hair and Nail Design Boutique.

In 2020 we were presented with the opportunity to move our studio into the Historic Square in Strasburg, and we jumped at the chance to expand our space and visibility.

We warmly welcome you to come visit us in our bright and welcoming salon in our newest location at 9 E. Main Street. We’d love to help you shop, give you a new look, pamper you with a fresh manicure or pedicure – we do it all!
