Strasburg Antique Market

Sweet memories, history, spectacular views and three floors for you to explore!  Strasburg is filled with lots of history and the Strasburg Antique Market is at the heart of it all.  Built in 1898 this tobacco warehouse was once used for storing tobacco to be loaded onto rail cars.  This triangle style building at the “Y” is an icon in Strasburg and has been home to Strasburg Antique Market since 1989.  Mark Lefever had the vision to turn this beautiful building into a co-op style antique business.

In 2016 the building and business were sold to the Hobson family and they changed the interior of the building by renovating it to show the large beams and brick walls, as well as authentic wood floors.  With this expansion, an old non-working freight elevator was removed from all three floors and repurposed. Customers now have a shopping experience enhanced with new mechanicals for comfort and easy access to all floors from a newly installed elevator.  Once inside you can enjoy old time candy, a restroom and an abundance of treasures to suit any taste or budget.

The exterior of the building was the next step to the renovation which now houses an antique automobile for sale and allows easy ground access to customers.  From start to finish this project took approximately 18 months to complete with the help from our Amish community.  Currently, all three floors are brimming with antiques and over 100 antique dealers where you can also discover a hidden door on the second floor leading to an apartment.  The dealers, staff and owners want you to experience a simpler era while browsing through authentic antiques and unique collectibles, finding many treasures!
