The Strasburg Creamery

The Strasburg Creamery has been serving up scoops of premium ice cream in Strasburg, PA since 1984.

Located at the intersection of two of the oldest railways in Pennsylvania, Strasburg Square has always been a center of activity in Lancaster County. At the heart of the square lies the historic building that once housed a tavern, a town meeting spot, a post office, general store, and pharmacy. In 1984 that building found its purpose for the current era – the Strasburg Creamery!

The smell of homemade waffle cones greets visitors as they enter the nostalgically appointed creamery. The feeling of a simpler time draws in locals and tourists alike, who have enjoyed over 300 unique premium flavors of ice cream since 1984!

The Strasburg Creamery uses the freshest ingredients in their premium ice cream, made right on site. Unique flavor selections rotate with the seasons, and a typical year will see 140 different types available.

Aside from the delicious premium ice cream, Strasburg Creamery also boasts a Deli and Country Store. The deli offers local delicacies, such as the Amish Reuben and Rachel. Lunch specials are featured each day, and the classic indoor booths and seasonal outdoor patio are just the spot to enjoy a relaxing lunch before indulging in dessert! The Strasburg Country Store and Candy Kitchen is where you’ll find Dutch treats and candies, fudge, homemade peanut butter and honey, and many more enticing treats. There is also an abundance of locally crafted and area-focused gifts and souvenirs.

The Strasburg Creamery and Deli are just a part – albeit the cornerstones – of what has grown into the Strasburg Shoppes at Centre Square.

Behind the Creamery and Country Store you’ll find the Allegro Wine Shoppe, in the building that was home to the town’s frozen food locker for many years. Adjacent to the Winery, in what was once the area’s Yule Shop, you will now find Desserts by Vickiann – the Strasburg Bakery. Right on Main Street, the Strasburg Shoppes are also home to the Barbones Bicycle Shop and A Find In Time Arts and Antiques.

Also on Main Street, directly adjacent to the Strasburg Creamery, resides the historic Strasburg Village Inn Bed and Breakfast. With 10 classically appointed rooms, all with modern amenities, any traveler to Lancaster County will enjoy the convenience and comfort of the Village Inn.

Come enjoy the Strasburg Creamery and Country Store, take time to visit the variety of shops, and stay at the historic Village Inn. The Strasburg Shoppes at Centre Square are truly a town within a town, and a must-see destination for any visitor to Lancaster County.
